Returnable Pallet Tracking for High-Value Assets
RFID tracking and Oracle integration gave a circulating pallet pool clearer visibility across stock, customer holdings, returns and condition.
Management had limited pallet-level visibility into location, customer allocation, returns, damage and availability during periods of high demand.
A more dependable view of availability, circulation, customer location and damage status.
Operational Context
Approximately 10,000 reusable plastic pallets moved between production, distribution and customer locations.
The Challenge
Management had limited pallet-level visibility into location, customer allocation, returns, damage and availability during periods of high demand.
Implementation
The project established a controlled digital record for the pallet pool, then configured asset states, movement workflows and RFID equipment.
The TechnoBeez Approach
Each pallet received a permanent RFID-based identity.
Handheld readers supported stock counts and field verification, while RFID gates recorded movement at operational checkpoints.
Tracking information connected physical movement with the existing Oracle environment.
Outcome and Operational Capability
- A more dependable view of availability, circulation, customer location and damage status.
- Physical pallets could be reconciled with system records and unreturned items investigated.
- Better information for allocation, lifecycle and retirement decisions.
Delivered capability. Pallet identity, inventory audit, movement status, return-cycle tracking and Oracle ERP integration.
